PPKn Universitas Negeri Medan

Abstract

This research aims to develop a design for a Socratic thinking learning model based on contemporary puppet media as a project to strengthen the Pancasila student profile at Sultan Iskandar Muda Junior High School. The Socratic thinking learning model embodies attitudes and actions in responding to curriculum changes, which fundamentally aim to achieve the Pancasila student profile by enhancing students^ critical thinking skills through questioning, analyzing arguments, and exploring ideas in depth. This has an impact on students^ achievements at the level of evaluating information or learning that is oriented towards critical thinking skills. This approach emphasizes dialogue and discussion among students, facilitating the exchange of ideas and perspectives. Through discussion, students learn to listen, appreciate others^ viewpoints, and build better arguments. Socratic thinking skills refer to students^ ability in the art of thinking through the skills of questioning and answering. Thus, the Socratic thinking model involves a more interactive and participatory engagement in the learning process. If combined with contemporary puppet media for activating the learning process in the classroom, it can create a comprehensive and holistic learning atmosphere, as this media introduces themes or concepts to be discussed through the stories presented in the puppet show. This can serve as a starting point for raising questions that encourage students to think critically about the values contained in the stories, such as justice, courage, and cooperation. This is oriented towards achieving the Pancasila student profile. Schools must be able to design a coherent teaching and learning program in line with the independent learning curriculum, so that the accuracy of achievements is targeted with indicators of faith, devotion to the One God, noble character, independence, mutual cooperation, global diversity, critical thinking, and creativity. The research method used is qualitat

Abstract

Computing time determines the speed of the genetic algorithm (AG). Parameters such as population size (pop size), crossover probability (Pc), mutation probability (Pm), and selected selection methods significantly affect the computing time in AG to find the optimum value. Pm value is one of the crucial parameters in AG. The value of Pm dramatically affects the process of mutation of the parent chromosome, and the value of Pm shows how much the parent chromosome will experience mutations. Determination of the correct Pm value indicates how much the parent chromosome will experience mutations.
The method used to analyze the effect of Pm on AG performance is to change the Pm value between 0.01 and 0.1. The simulation uses Matlab R2012b for the best computing time for various Pm values. Other AG parameters were unchanged, namely Pc = 0.85 and population size = 100 for each change in Pm value.
Test results using Matlab R2012b show a value of Pm = 0.06 and an average computing time of 0.382 seconds. This shows that in the case of optimizing the Unimed electrical engineering study program schedule with a value of Pm = 0.06, it will provide the fastest computing time.
