Abstract

The internationalization program of higher education is considered effective in strengthening the reputation and improving the quality of institutions and graduates who contribute to the global competitiveness of human resources. Internationalization is essentially a mechanism to respond to the impacts of globalization and is an important source for the development of higher education towards a system that is in line with international standards that are more open and responsive to the environment. However, in its implementation, comprehensive 21st century practices as recommended by the government are still carried out sporadically because there is no model that can be imitated. This study departs from the gap between internationalization and its impact on higher education in Indonesia which is studied comprehensively. Internationalization, the conclusion of the study is still limited to the discourse of collaboration and is less based on outcomes.
