standards. Without good work discipline, training outcomes have the potential to be
inconsistently applied. Therefore, conceptually, work discipline is appropriate as a
mediating variable because it explains how and through what mechanisms training
can impact cadre performance, although empirically in this study, this mediating
role was not proven significant.
