Abstract
The high incidence of HIV/AIDS in Indramayu with 4,970 HIV cases and 581 AIDS cases reported in 2022 underscores the urgent need for effective prevention and intervention strategies, particularly among vulnerable groups such as migrant workers. A capacity-building program for community health cadres has been designed to enhance their role in providing education, counseling, and support to migrant workers. The program aims to equip cadres with communication skills, an understanding of health policies, and evidence-based HIV/AIDS prevention methods, while promoting healthy behavioral changes among the target population. Expected outputs include publication of articles in nationally accredited (ISSN-indexed) journals or national seminars (ISBN/ISSN), articles in mass media, activity videos uploaded to YouTube, signage indicating collaboration with designated partner villages, documented student involvement, and official letters of cooperation from community partners confirming the implementation of community service activities. Additional outputs encompass intellectual property rights (copyrights/patents), activity posters, and community service profiles. Through this program, cadres demonstrate improved awareness, enhanced interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to develop health promotion materials-all contributing to the reduction of HIV/AIDS transmission rates and generating broader societal and academic impact.
