Reply from Mr. Ubaidullah Haji Mat Yassin 2025.12.16 12:00:41 Depending on the nature of the additives, some can offer additional nutrients to the amendments, some can help convert the substances in the amendment into more available forms (so that these forms can be readily taken up by plants), while some can act as sponges to hold the nutrients and release them slowly when needed (this is useful in the event of heavy rain or when the soil has limited amount of that nutrient).
