MEASUREMENT OF ANXIETY OF SENIOR PARAGLIDING ATHLETES DURING TRAINING SITUATIONS USING HARS (HAMILTON RATING OF SCALE)

Abstract

Paragliding is a sport which significantly progressing in Indonesia. Paragliding sports certainly have a fairly high risk of injury because it is caused by several factors, one of which is anxiety. One way to determine a person^s anxiety level is to use the HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Of Scale) method by knowing a person^s anxiety level we can find out how a person controls anxiety when practicing or competing. The purpose of this study was to determine the anxiety level of senior paragliding athletes Malang - Batu while in a training situation. The method used is descriptive quantitative using a questionnaire. The results found that Malang - Batu senior athletes had moderate anxiety with a result of 26.3, with 45 athletes as respondents. The conclusion that can be drawn is that some respondents who have severe anxiety and severe anxiety must get treatment or monitoring in order to reduce their anxiety levels. Suggestions for further researchers to increase the number of respondents, and expand the range and make comparisons between categories or different categories.
