DAVID ELSAVER

Faculty of Sports Science, State University of Jakarta

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Know the construction of a game-based PJOK learning model in lower grade elementary schools to improve gross motor skills. (2) Knowing the feasibility of products in the form of a game-based PJOK learning model in lower grade elementary schools to improve gross motor skills. (3) To determine the effectiveness of game-based physical education learning model in lower grade elementary schools to improve gross motor skills.
This type of research is Research and Development with ADDIE design (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Small-scale trial subjects amounted to 15 students, large-scale amounted to 30 students, and effectiveness test subjects amounted to 15 students. The effectiveness test used a ^One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design^ experiment. The effectiveness test instrument used a gross motor ability test. Analysis of effectiveness test data using paired sample t test significance 0.05.
The results showed that: (1) The results of the construction of a game-based learning model, namely Walking on the Titian, Moving the Ball, Throwing the Ball to the Target, Jumping Kun, Crawling through the Spider Net which is easy for PJOK teachers to teach, fun if students do the game, the game is safe for students, and can stimulate students to improve gross motor skills. (2) The game-based physical education learning model in lower grade elementary schools to improve gross motor skills is feasible based on expert judgment. (3) The game-based learning model is effective and significant in improving the gross motor skills of lower grade elementary school students, with a p-value <0.05.
