Abstract
The use of virtual reality (VR) technology in education is growing, offering innovative ways to teach material with deep immersion. This research explores the application of VR-based learning media in Ecologycal Citizenship learning on the topic of wetlands to instill an environmentally caring character among students. Wetlands, as vital but fragile ecosystems, are often poorly understood. By utilizing VR, students can experience interactive simulations that show wetland ecosystems realistically, from biological dynamics to the impacts of environmental change. This study reveals the use of VR media in increasing students^ understanding and awareness of the need for wetland conservation with demonstrated participation. Research methods include qualitative analysis of in-depth interviews with participants, in-depth document study, and observations in the learning environment. The results show that the use of VR not only increases students^ technical knowledge of wetlands but also strengthens environmental care attitudes. This research recommends the integration of VR in the curriculum as an effective pedagogical tool to build environmental awareness and prepare future generations who are more responsive to environmental issues. The use of VR provides a fun learning experience for students and lecturers in wetland Ecologycal Citizenshipcourses
