Abstract
This theoretical framework explores the incorporation of national ethical values into the Civics Education (PPKn) curriculum to develop students^ environmental citizenship. The study focuses on: (1) investigating the theoretical foundations of environmental citizenship- (2) examining the role of national ethical values in promoting environmental responsibility- and (3) identifying the theoretical challenges and opportunities in merging these concepts within the curriculum. Through a comprehensive review of literature, the paper highlights how integrating national ethical values with environmental citizenship can foster a holistic understanding of environmental issues and encourage sustainable behaviors. The findings indicate that incorporating national ethical values into environmental citizenship education can strengthen students^ character in preserving the environment and enhance their active participation in environmental conservation. However, challenges such as limited resources and resistance to curriculum changes are also identified. This analysis provides critical insights for curriculum developers and policymakers, advocating for an educational approach that combines ethical and environmental dimensions to create a generation more aware of environmental issues and committed to sustainable practices.
