INTERNALIZATION MODEL OF CARING AND RESPONSIBILITY CHARACTERS IN HEALTH COLLEGE STUDENTS THROUGH CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION LEARNING

Abstract

Caring and responsible characters are very urgent for health workers as public servants. However, reality shows that there are still many complaints from the public about the services provided by health workers, especially regarding their concern and responsible for the services provided. Caring and responsible characters in health services, education is needed that instills the values of caring and responsible characters. Civic Education is one of the personality development courses including the internalization of caring and responsible character values. This study aimed to develop a model for internalizing caring and responsible character values through Civic Education learning for students at health colleges. This research used research and development (R&D). Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation studies and Focus Group Discussions. The results that hypothetical model can be used as a guideline in implementing Civic Education learning that internalizes caring and responsible character values. This model is equipped with supporting components in the form of learning syntax, reaction principles and support systems
