Abstract
The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of political education carried out by the mass media for novice voters in the Karawang Regency regional head election in 2025. The survey method was used to provide a comprehensive picture considering that the research subjects were quite large, including students who were in the category of first-time voters in the 2025 regional head elections. Research subjects included students from universities in Karawang. The results of the research show that the mass media has scheduled political education programs through counseling and empowerment. With this program, the mass media is able to make a significant contribution in providing political awareness for novice voters, such as not being influenced by black campaign, money politics, and providing voting rights during voting. The use of online media such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook also has an effective impact as a medium for political education considering that novice voters who are currently categorized as Generation Z are very active in using social media as a means of political information and expression.
