Abstract
This study is about the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model on learning activities and student learning outcomes in class IX MTs Fathul Adzmi, due to problems in learning Pancasila and Citizenship Education which tends to be teacher-centered. This study used a quantitative approach, with a quasi-experimental method with a population of 85 students from class A to class D, the sample in this study was class IX A students as the control class and class IX B as the experimental class. In the experimental class learning using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model while in the control class using conventional learning. The instruments in this study were observation sheets to test students^ learning activities and multiple choice questions to test learning outcomes. Based on statistical analysis using independent sample t-Test obtained a value of 0.001 <0.05. Therefore it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model has an effect on the learning activities of students in class IX MTs Fathul Adzmi. Then it is known that the statistical value using an independent sample t-Test to test the learning outcomes of students is 0.00 <0.05. So it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model affects the learning outcomes of class IX students of MTs Fathul Adzmi.
