OPTIMIZATION OF PLANTING PATTERNS TO MAXIMIZE PROFIT USING LINEAR PROGRAM (POM-QM

Abstract

The Ciujung Irrigation Area (DI) has an area of 21,497 Ha. The Ciujung Irrigation Area Irrigation Network still found quite high sedimentation, so that the distribution of water for agricultural needs and other community needs could not be carried out optimally. The purpose of optimizing cropping patterns is to determine the maximum price of crop yields that can be produced by a land with different types of plants. Optimization in this study uses a linear program using the POM QM application. POM-QM is a software for production/operations management, quantitative methods, science management, and operations research. In this optimization study, 6 alternatives are planned with 2 different crops, namely corn and peanuts. This alternative will produce the most optimum land area and profit from production.
