Pile Deflection Analysis on Increasing the Strength of the Coast Guard Embankment Structure Using the Broms Method

Abstract

A coastal safety embankment is a construction that is used to protect against tidal flooding that occurs on the coast in Jakarta. Therefore, a protection effort was carried out by building a coastal guard using spun pile poles as the main wall and using tieback structural reinforcement with steel pipe poles. The purpose of this study was to determine the deflection of the spun pile wall. The result of the calculation of the pile deflection that occurs is greater than the allowable deflection, so it is necessary to make an additional effort in order to minimize the deflection that occurs in the wall.
