Abstract
Psychosocial hazards are one of the hazards that threaten the safety and health of workers. One type of work related to psychosocial hazards is work in the production area. The results of initial observations, it is known that workers in the production area who have to do assembly work require high accuracy. High workload occur when conditions of moderate production demand increase risks related to occupational health and safety. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using a case study method at PT. Sarandi Karya Nugraha. The research was conducted from July to October 2020. The 4 workers as an informant were selected by purposive techniques. Data were collected using in-depth interviews, observation and document review. Meanwhile, data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis.
Based on the results of the identification that incomplete work equipment, demands for work outside of assignments, increased job targets, and uncertainty in career development are the main factors in psychosocial hazards in the production department.
The study results indicate that quantitative workload, role conflict, role ambiguity, and career development are part of the psychosocial hazards that can cause health problems for workers.
