Abstract
This study examines whether students have donated to environmental conservation to practice religious teachings and care for it during the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, Islamic Religious Education (IRE) learning can take advantage of environmental student awareness activities as part of the learning process. The initial data collection stage used an online questionnaire to several students using the snowball sampling technique on 122 students who took IE courses from three universities in Jakarta and West Java. The questionnaire data analysis used quantitative and qualitative approaches. The results show that most respondents have donated to environmental preservation during Covid-19. They have different levels of care and ways towards the environment. Based on the trend of donation forms, methods, and caring approaches, it is necessary to develop IRE learning with an outcome-based education approach that emphasizes actual activities as learning outcomes and changes the learning evaluation method by including social activity reports as an assessment.
