Application of Brainwriting Model to Improve Multimedia-Based Writing Learning

Abstract

Currently, students^ writing productivity is not maximized. In addition, educators or lecturers usually rely more on the lecture, discussion, or question and answer method in the learning process. In this article, researchers meet the needs of lecturers in innovating learning systems by using multimedia that can be used for the writing learning process. This study uses qualitative data. Methods of collecting data using the survey method were obtained from the results of questionnaires and observations. Respondents in this study were 66 students and 2 lecturers in the Creative Writing Course. The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques. The researcher applies the brainwriting learning model to improve writing learning. The results show that the application of the brainwriting model using multimedia is needed by lecturers and students in improving writing learning because it can explore students^ ideas and produce writings in the form of creative literary works.
