Implementation of Assessment on Transition Services in Limited Face-to-face Learning for Students with Autism during the Covid-19 Pandemic at SLB

Abstract

The transition service in the Individual with Disabilities Education Act is a service to support the preparation of student vocational learning for teenagers to adults. This transition service is very essential to prepare students^ vocational skills and abilities to participate in a community. Covid-19 pandemic has shown a significant negative impact on various aspects of services to students with special needs such as autism, one of them is vocational services. In practice in the field, the fact that transition services hardly carry out assessments. Based on this, the researcher has an intention to describe the importance of implementing assessment steps in transition services in the context of distance learning for students with autism. The researcher used a literature review as the research method. The purpose of this study is to explain how important implementing assessment in transition services steps are in the context of limited face-to-face learning for students with autism.
