THE INFLUENCE OF COMPETENCY AND DEMOGRAPHY ON PERFORMANCE OF EMPLOYEES AT THE MINISTRY OF RELIGION OF SRAGEN REGENCY: A RESEARCH FRAMEWORK

Abstract

Employee performance is the result of work or output both quality and quantity achieved by employees per unit period of time in carrying out their duties in accordance with the responsibilities given. Employee performance is an important asset for organizations because it has an impact on improving the quality of organizations, especially government organizations that prioritize service aspects. Several factors that can increase the achievement of good performance are the competence and good demographics of each employee. competence is the ability of employees to be able to carry out their duties and responsibilities with optimal results both from a technical and non-technical perspective. while the demographic factor is a characteristic that distinguishes individuals such as age, gender, education level, length of work, age. This study aims to determine how the influence of competence and demographics on employee performance.
The population used in this study were all employees of the work unit of The Ministry of Religion of Sragen Regency, with Ministry office employees and KUA employees as respondents. By using non-probability sampling, 123 respondents were selected using a purposive sampling approach. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires, interviews and study of office documents.
The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive research purposes and the Structural Equation Model (SEM) - PLS is used to analyze the data to get a clearer and detailed of the results of the influence of competence and demographics on the employee performance at the Ministry of Religion of Sragen Regency.
