Need Analysis of Hots Integrated Thematic Learning Model and Internet of Things (IoT)-Based Social Inclusion in Elementary School of Aceh Province

Abstract

This research aims to conduct an analysis of the needs of developing the thematic learning model integrated HOTS and Social Inclusion Based on the Internet ofThings. The research was conducted by survey method at 8 (eight) elementary schools in Aceh province. The study subjects were 18 classroom teachers who taught thematic learning. The objects studied were the responses of principals and teachers to the development of thematic learning models of hots integrated thematic learning models and Internet of Things-based social inclusion, the tendency ofteachers to apply thematic models in school learning, student reasoning, and student character. Data is collected with interviews, questionnaires, observations, and tests. The collected data is analyzed descriptively. The results of the analysis showed that (1) principals and teachers need IoT-based thematic learning models as a supporter of learning facilities inthe pandemicera, (2) teachers have not developed and used thematic models, so they support and express readiness to engage in development, (3) the learning models used by teachers so far there is no indication of leading to integrated thematic models.
