Sustainability development is a global and multi-facetted issue for decades. These issues are getting heightened on how each country joins these collective efforts to save our earth. Jokowi^s administration intention to develop Battery Electrical Vehicle (BEV) is one of effort in fostering sustainable development, especially in sustainable mobility. This paper investigate some factors that influence Indonesia highly to be a global player in BEV industry. Our assessment approach focuses more on industrial perspective using STEEP, EFAS, Five Forces Porter Analysis, Employment Diagnostic Analysis (EDA). We also proposed a business canvas model for the industry. The assessment shows that Indonesia has big opportunity to be a global player in BEV industry. Not only as a country with the largest nickel deposit, but also government has launched grand policies to encourage BEV industry to grow. Furthermore, Indonesia also has been as a major automotive manufacturer in ASEAN region for decades. The development of BEV industry predicted create some benefits e.g environmentally, financially, accelerate smart city, and country image. However, Indonesia still have major obstacle in human resources. Our EDA on Distric Morowali, where industrial estate for nickel processing located, reveals that most of labor with low educational level background.
