Abstract

This research aimed to show, along with the changing times, technological advancements, as well as global cultural trends, the development and knowledge of the local culture. It was even more marginalized and no longer favored by the younger generation. In fact, local culture was very interesting to note. This culture resulted from the acculturation of various cultures that produced a new culture. For example, the traditional art of Lion Dance, which was often performed at Chinese New Year or Chinese New Year events, was a fusion of Chinese and local Indonesian cultural arts. This research was qualitative research with the ^Design Prototype Trial^ method about learning Chinese culture and language acculturation through Interactive Media Technology aimed at Chinese literature students. The Creation of Interactive Media - Lion Dance is intended to encourage students^ interest in self-learning besides formal learning in the classroom in harmony with the spirit of Free Learning promoted by the government to advance education.
