Abstract
Maintaining of data security needs to be done, on order to the value of information that contained in the data can be maintained confidentiality. One of them by doing the process of deleting data on storage media. This study are the implementation of data deletion using the British HMG IS5 (Enhanced) method, then compared it with the method of deletion that exists in the operating system. This implementation showed that deleting of the process using commands operating system can be recovered 100% and showed unsafe, while to deletion of process using the British HMG IS5 (Enhanced) method shows that 2 of the 3 data tools deletion that used cannot be recovered and can be seen safe.
