Abstract

Abstract: Gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) can be applied as biosensors for Escherichia Coli bacteria. The sensory ability of AuNPs can be enhanced by the presence of a hood in the form of Tyrosine. At present, it has been investigated the synthesis of gold nanoparticles with 0.2 mM gold solution, reduced using a chemical method with ascorbic acid reducing agent in a mole ratio (1:3) resulting in the maximum wavelength absorption in UV-Vis Spectrophotometry is 525.40 nm and an absorbance of 0.833. After adding a covering agent in the form of Tyrosine, the concentration variation was 0.01 mM - 0.1 mM, resulting in a wavelength absorption range of 530 nm. Furthermore, the characterization of the nanoparticle bonds was tested by FTIR Spectrophotometry. Then it was applied as a sensor in a liquid media preparation of Escherichia Coli bacteria with a concentration of 10^8 CFU/mL - 10^6 CFU/mL, resulting in a wavelength absorption of batochromic shifts that marked the formation of bonds between AuNPs, Tyrosin. and Escherichia Coli bacteria.
