Abstract
Innovation is a necessity in the development of traditional folk music and the use of digital technology is part of the work of innovation itself. Krinok music is one of the traditional music genres of the people of Jambi, is a musical cultural treasure and has the potential to be developed. The musical potential consists of several characters, especially the tone system, melodic contour, grenek, interval patterns, and circular musical journey, as well as the normative freedom of expression of spontaneous singing texts in the presentation that characterizes this musical entity. The contribution of digital technology in processing the potential of krinok music and the publication of its processed products is an inseparable part of the creative process itself. Through innovation by placing the traditional music genre of krinok as a musical art treasure that is developed creatively, the ^new^ music genre has come into being as a form of transformation called ^bungo krinok^ music. This work is part of the effort to advance Indonesia^s national culture.
