Abstract. Background: The number of hypertension sufferers in Indonesia is clearly unknown but it is estimated that it will continue to increase along with the development of world hypertension, were suffered by the elderly aged 45 to 70 years. There are many complementary therapies in Indonesia, it^s just that the role of nurses is not very visible. Complementary and alternative therapies are therapies in a broad scope covering health systems, modalities, and practices related to theories and beliefs in an area and at a certain time / period. Complementary therapy can be used as single therapy when it is used to improve health. Objective: of this study was to describe the application of Acupressure complement therapy to clients with hypertension. Methods: using a pre-experimental design with pre and post test without control design. All samples are checked first whether they need to be improved or not, if agreed in advance, what is needed in accupressure theraphy. The sample consisted of 43 people with hypertension. The study was conducted in 2017, the study was conducted for five consecutive days. Results: The results showed that the subjects experienced a decrease in blood pressure by 23 (54%), there was an increase in blood pressure by 4 (9%), and there was no change in blood pressure by 16 (37%) subjects. Conclusion It is known that blood pressure after and before acupressure therapy shows that respondents experience changes in blood pressure. This research suggestion should be for future researchers to examine whether the subject regularly uses drugs pharmacologically or not
