Abstract
Eucalyptus oil is a natural ingredient produced from the Melaleuca leucadendra (L) plant and has potential as a pediculoside, at this time many different types of eucalyptus oil are produced. This study aims to determine the ratio of variations in the concentration of eucalyptus oil on the mortality of head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis). Terpenoids group in essential oil. Pure eucalyptus oil is compared to ^X^ brand eucalyptus oil by varying the concentration of 12.5%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100% which is diluted using virgin coconut oil. The comparison used is a commonly used pediculoside. Based on the results of a comparative study of variations in the concentration of eucalyptus oil to adult head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis) in vitro, it can be concluded that pure eucalyptus oil has a faster effect time than eucalyptus oil with ^X^ brand, the higher the concentration, the faster Killing power against lice, at the lowest concentration of 12.5%, the yield ratio was 7 minutes 56 seconds for eucalyptus oil brand ^X^ and 3 minutes 57 seconds for pure eucalyptus oil. Thus, pure eucalyptus oil is more effective than ^X^ brand eucalyptus oil with a time difference of 3 minutes 59 seconds.
