Having beautiful and healthy hair is something that many people, both women and men, crave. The challenge of dandruff hair is a significant complaint that is often felt by everyone, so to avoid this challenge, many hair treatments are carried out to get healthy, clean, dandruff-free and robust hair. One way to provide nutrition for hair is to use Hair Tonic. Water spinach is a type of herbaceous plant that is abundant in almost all regions because it is easy to grow and does not require less complicated treatment, where the secondary metabolites contain flavonoids, polyphenols and quinones which have the potential to be antibacterial and anti-fungal. According to previous research, the microorganism that plays an essential role in causing dandruff is the fungus Pityrosporum ovale. Pityrosporum ovale is a lipophilic fungus belonging to the genus Malassezia which is the normal flora of the skin. This study aims to develop natural hair tonic preparations from kale extract with various extract concentrations of 10% and 15%. Then, the practice is evaluated, and the stability test is carried out for 30 days of storage. Based on the results of the evaluation of the preparation, the kale extract can be formulated in hair tonic preparations and has good stability during storage at room temperature. From the results of the anti-fungal activity test on Pityrosporum ovale, the 15% concentration of practices was able to inhibit the growth of dandruff-causing fungi with an inhibitory diameter of 16.4 +- 0.05 mm with intense activity but smaller when compared to products on the market.
