Analysis Of Short-Term Cost Trade Off and Long-Term Impacts on Post-Harvest Straw Burning Decisions a)Accounting Department, Faculty of Economics and Business, Tadulako University Abstract This study aims to analyze and describe the trade-off between short-term cost efficiency and long-term environmental impacts of post-harvest straw burning practices in Kalukubula Village, Sigi Regency. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study show that straw burning is still practiced to achieve cost and time efficiency. Another finding indicates a decline in soil nutrients, which that leads to decreased crop yields, resulting environmental degradation and hidden costs.
