Strategi Penguatan Kapasitas, Kualitas dan Kinerja Petugas Tuberkulosis Untuk Optimalisasi Layanan Pengendalian Tuberkulosis di Puskesmas Kebun Lada Binjai Faculty of Medicine, Health Sciences, Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra, Indonesia Abstract Tuberculosis (TB) remains a significant public health challenge in Indonesia affecting approximately 1 million individuals and resulting in around 134,000 death annualy. Indonesia became a country with the second-highest TB rates globally. In response to this urgent matter, the government has voiced an ambitious objective to eliminate TB by 2030. However, several obstacles must be navigated, including social stigma, insufficient healthcare infrastructure, and a general unawareness regarding the disease and available treatment options.The roles and competencies of TB officers are crucial in enchancing the quality of care, staying abreast of new regulatory policies, and effectively utilizing the TB case recording system.To strengthen their capabilities, face-to-face training sessions were implemented, with the effectiveness of these sessions assessed via pre and pos training tests. After the training, a significant increase in the officers^ understanding of the material has increased. Pre-posttest result shows a generally positive performance among TB officers- nonetheless 6% expressed a need for additional training, 5% called for program support, and 11% encountered difficulties with the case recording system.
