Abstract

The ^Gerakkan Meja Sehat^ Program is an initiative to increase family nutrition awareness through the utilization of local food as a strategy for stunting prevention. This activity is carried out by involving the active role of women, particularly the PKK partners of Kajang Baru Village and the UMKM Paguyuban of Kajang Baru, who serve as key drivers in promoting healthier eating behaviors within the community.
Kajang Baru Village in Sintang Regency has abundant local food resources such as cassava, salak fruit, sweet potatoes, corn, papaya, moringa leaves, and river fish (tilapia and toman). However, the use of these ingredients in daily family menus remains limited. Through women^s empowerment, this program aims to enhance mothers^ skills in processing local food into healthy, nutritious, diverse, and attractive dishes for toddlers and all family members, while also increasing UMKM creativity to help improve household income.
The implementation methods include nutrition education, demonstrations of local food processing, appropriate-technology training, entrepreneurship training for UMKM Paguyuban Kajang Baru, and assistance to the PKK of Kajang Baru Village in developing ^Meja Sehat^ menus. Appropriate Technology (TTG) equipment such as a grain dryer is used to dry corn, which is then processed using a grinder to produce corn flour as an alternative MP-ASI menu besides rice porridge. The grinder machine is also used to grind mung beans into flour, which supports stunting prevention efforts. For UMKM groups in Kajang Baru, the availability of TTG tools such as cassava slicers has made their work easier and faster, while improving product hygiene through proper packaging using a sealing machine.
The results of the program show an increase in mothers^ knowledge of balanced nutrition, the formation of women^s groups who serve as pioneers of healthy local food, growing creativity in local food processing, and the availability of nutritious UMKM products that are easily accessible to the community. UMKM mothers in Kajang Baru Village are now able to produce larger quantities and have started marketing their products through online marketplaces. Furthermore, families have begun adopting local-food-based diets as an independent effort to prevent stunting.
Overall, the ^Gerakkan Meja Sehat^ program-through local food innovation and women^s empowerment-has proven effective in strengthening household food security, improving women^s economic resilience, and making a significant contribution to stunting prevention efforts in Kajang Baru Village
