Abstract

This study aims to explore the educational potential of introducing astronomy through the use of the Planetarium at UIN Walisongo Semarang. Using a qualitative approach and field observation methods, the research directly examines how the planetarium function as an interactive and engaging learning medium. The findings indicate that the planetarium plays a significant role in enhancing students^ interest and understanding of basic astronomical concepts. Furthermore, the immersive learning environment and visual presentation contribute to a more enjoyable and meaningful educational experience. This study recommends the development of planetarium-based educational programs as an effective alternative for introducing science, particularly astronomy, across various levels of education.
