Abstract

In the digital era, the storage and management of creative works have become a significant challenge, particularly for the Multimedia Engineering Technology (TRM) study program at Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif. Currently, students works-such as animations, designs, and multimedia content-are dispersed across various platforms without a centralized system. This situation has led to three major issues: (1) the risk of irreversible data loss, similar to the 2021 BPJS Kesehatan data breach incident, (2) difficulties in searching and classifying works based on technical parameters, and (3) limited ability to analyze students competency development within the study program. To address these challenges, this research proposes SIGMA-AI, an integrated digital gallery platform designed to serve as a centralized repository and portfolio system for students creative works. The platform enables seamless access for relevant stakeholders anytime and anywhere. The development process adopts the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodology, which consists of four stages: (a) user requirements analysis, (b) design of a cloud-based system architecture, (c) implementation of an artificial intelligence (AI) model, and (d) evaluation based on system accuracy metrics and user experience (UX). The results demonstrate that SIGMA-AI not only provides a secure and efficient solution for storing creative works but also fosters a digital ecosystem that supports students creative skill development. Moreover, it has the potential to bridge the gap between academia and the creative industry by offering a structured, data-driven approach to managing and showcasing student portfolios. This platform can ultimately serve as a strategic tool for enhancing both academic processes and industry engagement.
