UPAYA MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS SISWA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN SENI RUPA MELALUI MEDIA PAGELARAN WAYANG MODERN UNTUK KELAS XI DI SMAN 46 JAKARTA Universitas Negeri Jakarta Abstract This study aims to enhance students^ creativity in fine arts learning through the implementation of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) model using modern puppet (wayang) media. The background of this research is the low level of students^ creativity and participation caused by conventional learning methods that lack engagement. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative descriptive approach conducted in grade XI of SMA Negeri 46 Jakarta. Data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation, learning achievement tests, and student questionnaires. The findings revealed a significant improvement in students^ creativity, motivation, and learning outcomes after the application of the PjBL model with modern puppet media. Moreover, students became more active, enthusiastic, and demonstrated a deeper understanding of local cultural values. The study concludes that the use of traditional media redesigned in a modern context can serve as an effective strategy in fine arts education to support the Independent Curriculum.
