Abstract
Background : The first stage of labor is the phase that gives rise to painful great consequence uterine contractions and dilation cervix . This pain can cause stress , anxiety , even trauma. Non- pharmacological approaches proven help reduce perception painful .
Method: Research design using pre-experiment with approach One group pre- post test . The sample consisted of 36 mothers. first stage of labor active taken in a way purposive sampling. Measurement painful done use Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) before and after intervention . Data analysis using Wilcoxon test
Results : study show before intervention , majority respondents experience painful heavy with an average of 6.33 and after intervention decrease become currently with an average score of 4.36. Wilcoxon test results show mark p = 0.000 (p < 0.05), which means there is influence significant from intervention to decline adaptation painful .
Conclusion : Combination effleurage massage which is effective lavender aromatherapy in lower perception painful first stage of labor , so that Mother inpartu capable adapt painful first stage of labor . Intervention This can made into alternative in practice nursing For increase comfort Mother inpartu during the labor process .
