THE INFLUENCETIONS AND BEHAVIORS AMONG ADOLESCENTS FROM BR OF SOCIAL MEDIA EXPOSURE ON HEALTH PERCEPOKEN HOME FAMILIES IN INDONESIA: SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW 123 Department of Public Health, Postgraduate Program, Faculty of Health Sciences, Jenderal Soedirman University, Jalan Dr. Soeparno Karangwangkal, Banyumas 53123, Indonesia Abstract Adolescents are increasingly exposed to social media, which plays a central role in shaping their health perceptions and behaviors. This is particularly significant for adolescents from broken home families, who often face psychosocial vulnerabilities and may use social media as an emotional escape. This study systematically reviews and analyzes the influence of social media exposure on health perceptions and behaviors among adolescents in Indonesia, with a focus on those from broken homes. A systematic literature review (SLR) was conducted using the PRISMA method on six quantitative studies published between 2015 and 2025. Articles were sourced from Google Scholar and PubMed using keywords in Indonesian and English related to social media, adolescents, broken homes, health perception, and health behavior. Results show that social media significantly affects adolescents^ physical, mental, and social health. Positive and educational content is linked to higher health awareness and adaptive behaviors, while exposure to toxic or unrealistic content is associated with stress, distorted self-perception, and risky behaviors. For broken home adolescents, social media may provide psychological relief and identity exploration, but its impact depends on digital literacy and content type. These findings highlight the need for empathetic digital health communication and supportive online communities.
