Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the drill and tactical approaches on the results of extracurricular student passing training at SMP Negeri 1 Cabangbungin.
This study was conducted in the field of SDN Lenggahjaya 01, with a total of 8 meetings. The method used is the Experimental method, with a sample of 24 students from 24 populations. The sampling technique used was the Total Sampling method and 24 samples were obtained. The sample was determined from the entire population of extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 1 Cabangbungin.
The data analysis technique used was the t-test statistic to compare with the table value at a significance level of X 0.5.
The results of data analysis processing are as follows: In the drill approach group, the average value is 8, the standard deviation of the difference is 2.58, the standard error value of the mean difference is 0.77 and the calculated t value is 10.38 and the tactical approach group obtained an average value of 3.83, the standard deviation of the difference is 1.41, the standard error value of the mean difference is 0.42 and the calculated t value is 9.11. The data results are used to compare the final test between the drill approach group and the tactical approach. The drill approach group obtained a standard deviation value of 4.74 and a standard error value of the mean difference of 1.43 while the tactical approach had a standard deviation value of 5.13 and a standard error value of the mean difference of 1.54, a calculated t of 2.42 and a t table value of degrees of freedom (dk) = (12 + 12) + -2 = 22 at a significance level of 5% is 2.07, so the calculated t> t table. Based on the statistical hypothesis, it can be concluded that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the working hypothesis (H1) is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an average difference between the drill approach and the tactical approach so that the drill approach is more effective than the tactical approach on the results of underhand passing training for extracurricular students at SMP Negeri 1 Cabangbungin.
