Abstract

The purpose of this research was to produce a physically disabled swimmer freestyle training model based on the adapt swim application. The products produced were in the form of application, books and videos that could be used in swimming training of the physically disabled. The method used in this research was the development research adapted from the development research design by Borg and Gall. The research was conducted in DKI Jakarta and Solo Central Java from April 2024 to September 2024 using physically disabled swimming athletes. Data collection was carried out by observation, interviews and questionnaires. The stages of data collection carried out at the initial stage were expert testing, limited testing conducted on small groups, field testing, and effectiveness testing using statistical methods (t-test). The results of the research prove that, based on the evaluation result of swimming experts and information and communication technology (ICT) experts, the product meets the good criteria so it can be used in the next trial phase. This shows that the results of the improvement of the group using the freestyle swimming training model for physically disabled people are higher than the group without the training model, so it can be concluded that through the freestyle swimming training model for physically disabled people based on the Adapt Swim application, it has been proven to be effective and efficient in improving the results of freestyle swimming training for physically disabled athletes.
