Abstract

Abstract
This study aims to examine the influence of arm power, coordination, and achievement motivation on smash accuracy in badminton among U-19 athletes. The research will employ a quantitative associative approach with a correlational design and path analysis. The sample will consist of U-19 badminton athletes at the PB. JAYA RAYA JAKARTA Training Center, selected through simple random sampling. Data collection will utilize arm power tests, hand-eye coordination tests, achievement motivation questionnaires, and badminton smash accuracy tests. The study hypothesizes direct effects of arm power, coordination, and achievement motivation on smash accuracy, as well as indirect effects of arm power and coordination mediated by achievement motivation. Path analysis will be used to analyze both direct and indirect relationships between variables. This research is expected to provide valuable insights for coaches and trainers in developing effective training programs to improve smash accuracy among young badminton athletes, thereby contributing to the advancement of badminton performance in Indonesia. The findings may have significant implications for talent development and training strategies in badminton, particularly for the U-19 age group.
