Abstract
This research reveals knowledge of traditional Gayo ethnic medicine in Permata District, Bener Meriah Regency. This research uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach with data collection techniques through participant observation and in-depth interviews with traditional leaders, local healers, village heads and local communities who still know about various traditional treatments related to personalistic diseases caused by supernatural forces, as well as naturalistic diseases caused by activities. weight done every day, or caused by poison (Tube) given by other people. Some poisons (tubes) are lethal, and some only make you sick or paralyze.
