Abstract

Abstrak Technological developments in the era of globalization are increasingly advanced and rapid, business people will keep up with the times by using digital technology to increase their income. One effort to improve the economy of border area communities in Merauke district, South Papua is through empowering micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The presence of information technology (IT) will change the way of doing business by providing new opportunities and challenges for the development of MSMEs. One of the digital trends used by MSMEs is digital marketing. Currently, digital marketing is being widely used by MSMEs, namely through social media networks. The large number of social media network users currently provides opportunities for entrepreneurs to develop their markets only through smartphones. Basically, the buying and selling process is to increase income and reduce the problem of disparities that exist between income groups and between business actors.
The aim of this research is to explain in depth about the use of digital marketing among MSME actors in the border area of Merauke district, South Papua and Papua New Guinea, to explain in depth about increasing income from the use of digital marketing for MSME actors in the border area of Merauke district, South Papua with Papua New Guinea. This research uses a qualitative descriptive approach, data collection techniques in this research are by conducting observations, interviews and documentation.
