Prototype of Room Temperature Monitoring Device for Paddy Storage for The Anim-Ha Farmer Group in Merauke District Based on Internet of Things 1) Departement of Informatics, Musamus University, Merauke, Indonesia Abstract The process of storing paddy plays an important role in producing high-quality paddy with an ideal moisture content between 13-14%. According to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and BULOG regulations, the maximum moisture content for paddy is 14%. Storing paddy in uncontrolled temperature and humidity conditions can cause the paddy to become moist again, increasing its moisture content and damaging its quality during milling, especially during the rainy season which accelerates humidity increase. The post-harvest problems faced by farmers include difficulties in monitoring the temperature conditions of storage rooms in real-time and efficiently. This research aims to develop a Room Temperature Monitoring Device that helps farmers monitor paddy storage temperature accurately and in real-time, and improve storage efficiency using IoT technology. This device is designed to measure and control the temperature and humidity of the paddy storage room. It also provides notifications through the user^s mobile device when the fan or heater is activated and allows monitoring of temperature and humidity conditions through Android. The research results show that the DHT21 sensor has a temperature measurement accuracy of 92.86% and a humidity measurement accuracy of 91.88%. With this prototype device, farmers can effectively address post-harvest paddy storage issues, monitor storage temperature accurately and in real-time, and reduce the risk of crop damage.
