APPLICATION OF INDEPENDENT CHARACTER VALUES AND DISCIPLINE IN COACHING ACTIVITIES AT THE SPECIAL CHILDRENS DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTIONS Master of Pancasila and Citizenship Education, Faculty of Social Sciences, State University of Jakarta Abstract This study aims to examine the application of character values of child inmates through coaching activities carried out at the Childrens Special Development Institution. This research focuses on the aspects of independent character values and discipline of child inmates. This research was carried out using qualitative research methods and supported by relevant data through literature studies. The results of the research are expected to add insight related to the implications of coaching activities on the application of independent character values and discipline of child inmates in the Special Child Development Institution to prepare themselves to continue life after serving a criminal term, so that later child inmates can have a better personality and independence than before. In this case, the Special Childrens Development Institutions has a greater role for child inmates, especially in the coaching activities carried out. The conclusion of this study is related to how the implementation of coaching activities is influenced by the limitations of institutional facilities and the ability of the coach to carry out coaching activities, so that the aspects of independence and discipline of child inmates have not been optimally applied.
