Indigenous Community Resilience Model in Dealing with The Covid-19 Pandemic as A Social Capital for Disaster Mitigation Universitas Negeri Malang Abstract Indonesia as an archipelagic country is inhabited by indigenous peoples in several of its territories. One of them is Osing Indigenous People. As a consequence of being an archipelagic country, the Osing Indigenous Peoples face the potential for natural and non-natural disasters that can come at any time. The Osing Indigenous People already have their own local wisdom with their traditions in dealing with disasters. This study was aimed to determine how indigenous community dealing with Covid-19 pandemic. We used qualitative methods with a descriptive research design for the purpose of this study. We interview the respondent combined with observation throughout research. Our finding show that Osing indigenous people have high compliance and trust to their traditional leader. Covid-19 protocol was well implemented in Kemiren Village. That in adapting and surviving the Covid-19 pandemic, the Osing Indigenous People did the following, namely obeying the rules from the village government and the central government, obeying the rules from the customary leaders, carrying out and maintaining local wisdom, maintaining livelihoods as farmers, community participation which is high to prevent covid-19 and the existence of pokdarwis (tourism awareness groups).
