Analysis of the Discipline Character of Teachers in the Maluku Islands Region as a Form of Assurance of Learning of the College of Origin.

Abstract

Maluku^s condition with geographical aspects also determines the existence of teacher resources. In the research objective to find out how the character of teacher discipline in educational units in the archipelago, using a mixed research method in a quantitative approach with a Likert scale and qualitative with a phenomenological approach. With Research Locations in Central Maluku, West Seram and Southwest Maluku Districts. Populations and research samples of teacher graduates from Patimura University. The research sample consisted of school principals in the archipelago, resource persons were principals, vice-principals of primary, junior high, senior high and vocational schools and community leaders. Questionnaire and interview techniques and observation. The analysis of the research results was carried out statistically and qualitative data was analysed: Data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. Furthermore, the results of the study provide an overview that the disciplinary character of the teacher in the educational unit is < 70%, and this data is also supported by data from interviews and observations that natural conditions greatly affect the presence of teachers in the educational unit. and this condition also affects curriculum development and implementation. Natural conditions and infrastructure conditions are the main factors for the presence of teachers in educational units and have a great impact on the achievement of learning outcomes.This condition also shows that the level of discipline of graduates of Pattimura University is sufficient and it is important to improve the assurance of learning.
