Abstract
Palm oil is a plantation commodity that plays an important role in global economic development. However, the increase in palm oil production has led to an increase in land clearing expansion that can disrupt environmental conditions. Sustainable development becomes one of the company^s considerations in ensuring that the industry can continue to operate responsibly in the long term. Research related to sustainable development has been documented in various literature review articles, but none has specifically examined the palm oil business field. This research uses bibliometric analysis method, including descriptive analysis (research productivity by year dan by region, as well as country association of research), citation, co-citation, and research trends found as many as 174 articles as a literature study. Some new keywords appear every year which indicates that research in this field is more interesting to study. The results found that sustainable supply chain management and sustainable palm oil waste utilization are the main concerns of sustainable development in the palm oil industry. The recommendation for future research is sustainable development of the palm oil industry in Malaysia. Malaysia is the country with the highest number of authors discussing sustainable development in the palm oil industry with a total of 86 articles.
