Abstract
Kampung Ketandan is one of the oldest tourist villages in Surabaya and still exists among the tall buildings in Surabaya. This village has a history that includes the events of November 10 because it is located in the golden quadrangle of Surabaya. Even though the background of this village has historical value, not many tourists or visitors from outside Surabaya are interested in visiting it. The Surabaya government has renovated Ketandan village into a tourism village, but local residents still don^t have the ability to develop the potential of the tourism sector in this village. Based on the results of the interviews, the residents did not have anything special to attract the attention of the community or be a differentiator among other villages in Surabaya, even though it is strategically located in the heritage area of Jalan Tunjungan, which is visited a lot. As a tourist village, this village still needs to have a strategy and participate in tourism development, especially related to merchandise, because this medium can become a bridge of communication with the community. Therefore, Kampung Ketandan needs a supporting medium in the form of merchandise that will later be marketed so that it can increase the existence of Kampung Ketandan. This design will support potential promotion research topics that have an impact on the economy of a region, which is included in SDG 8.
