Abstract
Entrepreneurship and tourism are closely linked and have wide-reaching benefits, including economic growth and development in other areas such as education. Economic progress is often seen as crucial to the success of entrepreneurship in many areas, which plays a key role in driving innovation and encouraging economic growth within the tourism sector. In Indonesia, tourism is a significant industry that supports national economic development. In Indonesia, the tourism sector serves as a significant source of foreign exchange earnings and holds the potential to alleviate unemployment. Implementing sustainable tourism development represents a crucial paradigm in order to achieve a delicate balance between economic growth, environmental protection and social inclusion in the tourism sector, particularly in North Sumatera. The aim of this study is to stimulate economic growth by generating employment opportunities and cultivating an entrepreneurial mindset, whereby entrepreneurs can advance or enrich the customs and traditions unique to the people of North Sumatera. The methodology employed for this investigation comprises a literature review and the researcher^s own insights. The data collected is in the form of secondary data and analyzed qualitatively. Tourism contributes to the realization of a prosperous society. It serves as a means of community development through entrepreneurship and a source of income for communities in North Sumatera.
