Abstract
People expect access to high-quality medical services with the rapid development of medical technology and information. In this context, the doctor-patient relationship often worsens when people experience medical disappointments, conflicts, or even medical disputes. Therefore, medical institutions must improve the communication and interaction between doctors and patients. Against this background, this research mainly aims to discuss the relationship between Shared Decision Making (SDM) and medical satisfaction. To achieve this purpose, this study conducted a questionnaire survey with long-term care residents as its research participants. A total of 210 valid copies of the questionnaire were collected, after which the obtained data were analyzed using statistical software packages. It was found that the following variables exerted a significant positive impact on SDM: the attitude towards virtual reality (VR) assistance, perceived benefits of VR assistance. And SDM had a significantly positive impact on medical satisfaction.
