Abstract

NFT (Non-Fungible Token) Art in Indonesia has developed and become a trend since the COVID-19 pandemic. Various thoughts regarding the existence, use and the emergence of its activist in art communities, are present in various discussions on social media, reviews in the mass media to exhibition events. The existence of NFT Art in Indonesia, even though it has become a phenomenon, it^s existence is still being discussed, there are pros and cons, and has become a polemic, especially in Indonesian art world.
This research examines in depth the area of art practice among artists and NFT activist in art communities in Indonesia, especially in Yogyakarta and Bali, thereby strengthening NFT Art^s position as a visual art medium. Also considering that Indonesia has culture diversity, this research also pays attention to the multicultural perspective on NFT^s works which are seen through the development of contemporary art discourse.
